Michael Monaghan is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the National Rugby League. He has also represented Australia and New South Wales in State of Origin. Monaghan was born on 13 May 1980 in Canberra, Australia. He attended St Edmund's College in Canberra and played junior rugby league for the Queanbeyan Blues. Monaghan made his NRL debut for the Canberra Raiders in 2000. He played for the Raiders until the end of the 2004 season, when he joined the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Monaghan has represented Australia in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup and has also played for New South Wales in State of Origin. Monaghan is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have two children.
