Michalakis Triantafyllides was a Cypriot politician and diplomat who served as the first Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus from 1960 to 1963. He was born in 1927 in Limassol, Cyprus. He studied law at the University of Athens and was a member of the Greek Cypriot National Guard. He was a member of the Greek Cypriot National Council and was elected to the House of Representatives in 1960. He was appointed as the first Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus in 1960 and served until 1963. He was also a member of the United Nations Security Council in 1961 and 1962.
