Michel Eddé is a Lebanese lawyer and politician who served as Prime Minister of Lebanon from 2000 to 2004. He was born on 16 February 1928 in Beirut, Lebanon. Eddé studied law at the University of Paris and obtained his doctorate in law in 1952. He then returned to Lebanon and began practicing law in Beirut. In the late 1950s, he became involved in politics and was elected to the Lebanese Parliament in 1960. He served as Minister of Justice from 1964 to 1965 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1965 to 1966. In 2000, Eddé was appointed Prime Minister of Lebanon and served until 2004. During his tenure, he worked to restore stability to the country after the civil war and to improve the economy. He also worked to improve relations with Syria and to strengthen Lebanon's ties with the Arab world. Eddé is currently 95 years old and has an estimated net worth of $10 million.
