Michel El Khoury is a Lebanese politician who served as the President of Lebanon from 1976 to 1982. He was born on 24 November 1926 in Beirut, Lebanon. He studied law at the University of Beirut and graduated in 1950. El Khoury began his political career in the 1950s, when he was elected to the Lebanese Parliament in 1957. He served as Minister of Justice from 1958 to 1960 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1960 to 1964. He was also a member of the National Assembly from 1964 to 1972. In 1976, El Khoury was elected President of Lebanon, a position he held until 1982. During his tenure, he worked to restore peace and stability to the country after the civil war. He also worked to improve the economy and to promote democracy. El Khoury is currently retired from politics and is living in Beirut. He is 97 years old. His net worth is not known.
