Mohamed Mnyaa is a Tanzanian politician and former Prime Minister of Zanzibar. He was born on 2 December 1955 in the Sultanate of Zanzibar. He is currently 68 years old. Mnyaa studied at the University of Dar es Salaam, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in International Relations at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. Mnyaa began his political career in the early 1980s, when he was appointed as the Minister of Finance and Planning in the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. He then served as the Prime Minister of Zanzibar from 1985 to 1990. In 1990, Mnyaa was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the United Republic of Tanzania. He served in this position until 1995, when he was appointed as the Minister of State in the President's Office. Mnyaa is currently the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council of Zanzibar and the Chairman of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. He is also a member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Council of Zanzibar. Mnyaa is married and has three children. His net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
