Muhammad Arif Chaudhry is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as the Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from the constituency of NA-149 (Okara-III). He was born on 14 August 1959 in Okara, Pakistan. He completed his early education from Government High School, Okara and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Government College, Okara. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. He began his political career in 1988 when he was elected as a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from the constituency of PP-179 (Okara-III). He served as a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for three consecutive terms from 1988 to 1997. In 1997, he was elected as a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from the constituency of NA-149 (Okara-III). He has been re-elected as a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from the same constituency in 2002, 2008, 2013 and 2018. He is currently serving as the Federal Minister for Narcotics Control in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Narcotics Control and the Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization.
