In Myles's graduating year of high school, he functioned as Sound Designer and Technician for "Village of Idiots" (2003). He also assisted in numerous productions with the Powerhouse Theatre, as well as at the Vernon and District Center for the Performing Arts.
Adriane Polo ran a small extra's casting company, and helped place Myles as an extra in the movies "Insomnia" and Tribe of Joseph (2002). Myles also went on to become a Trainee Assistant Director for the same film.
In 2002, Myles's family made the move to the Okanagan Valley in BC. Transferring part way through grade 11, Myles spared no time in getting involved in local theater.
Myles was an actor in his high school's musical "Rock 'n' Roll" (2002) and was also the Lighting Designer.
Myles was also involved with the Powerhouse Theater's production of "Widows" (2002), running the special effects.
In 2001, Myles worked with a longtime contact from the theater, who also had a foot in the film industry.
Myles helped Adrian on the set of her own movie "Treasure Mountain"(2001), and filled many roles such as: Third Assistant Director, Assistant Locations Manager, sound operator, and various behind-the-scenes help with camera, lighting and grip.
Continuing on his backstage voyage, Myles became Technical Director at the Brackendale Art Gallery in 2000; remaining until his family moved in 2002. Myles maintained the lighting/audio equipment, and was the Lighting Designer/Technician for numerous intimate performances by: Valdy, Gary Fjellgaard, John Hough & Jim Woodyard, Pied Pumpkin, Jim Byrns, Norm Foote, and multiple Shakespeare productions. It was here that Myles was free explore the technical side of theater, and experiment as a lighting designer.
From 2000 - 2002, Myles moved from being in front of the spotlight, to being behind it. Myles explored his creativity as a Lighting Designer and Lighting Director.
His most notable productions were "Camelot" (2000), "Wizard of Oz" in which he also played the Tin Man (2002). Myles also stepped up as Stage Manager for a number of small productions.
After being captivated by the behind-the-scenes operations of the theater world, Myles went on to become an Assistant Stage Manager for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" in 1999. Myles continued on into high school, and was inspired by his drama teacher Mrs. Riley, to continue with his dreams. He joined an improvisational acting team, and competed in the regional finale.
Myles was born to parents Joseph and Michelle Bukowsky, and grew up in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. From a young age, he was heavily involved in local community theater. Myles made his on-stage debut in 1995 at the young age of 10, as Tiny Tim in "Scrooge"; coincidentally this was also the first production in the town's newly constructed theater. The following year, Myles again played a lead role as Timmy, in "A Friend for Christmas".
