Nagendra Prasad Rijal is a Nepalese politician and former Prime Minister of Nepal. He was born on 20 April 1927 in Telia, Dhankuta, Nepal. He was educated at the University of Calcutta and the University of Delhi. Rijal was a member of the Nepali Congress Party and served as Prime Minister of Nepal from 15 April 1990 to 15 May 1991. He was also the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1990 to 1991. Rijal was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Nepal from 2008 to 2012. He was also a member of the National Planning Commission from 2008 to 2012. Rijal is married to Shanti Rijal and has two sons and two daughters. He is currently living in Kathmandu, Nepal.
