Nicholas Sarwark is an American politician and lawyer who is the current chair of the Libertarian National Committee. He was elected to the position in 2014 and re-elected in 2016. He is the youngest person ever to serve as chair of the Libertarian Party. Sarwark graduated from the University of Arizona in 2001 with a degree in political science and philosophy. He then attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2004. Sarwark has been active in the Libertarian Party since 2004, when he was elected to the Libertarian National Committee. He has served as the chair of the Libertarian Party of Colorado and was a candidate for mayor of Phoenix in 2011. Sarwark is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have two children. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys playing the guitar.

Sarwark was chairman of the Libertarian Party of Maryland from 2001 to 2003, holding numerous LP officer and local-level roles there. Prior to being elected chairman of the Libertarian National Committee in 2014, Sarwark served as a deputy public defender in Colorado and as vice-chairman of the Libertarian Party of Colorado. Sarwark was re-elected in 2016, and again in 2018.

He graduated from Washington Adventist University in 1998 with a BS in computer science and a minor in philosophy, later receiving his juris doctor from American University Washington College of Law in 2008. Whilst attending law school, Sarwark clerked for the libertarian law firm Institute for Justice.
