Nick DeWolf was an American engineer and entrepreneur who was born on July 12, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the founder of the DeWolfe Companies, a real estate development and investment firm. He was also the founder of the DeWolfe Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports education, health, and the arts. DeWolf attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in engineering. After college, he worked as an engineer for the U.S. Navy and then for the U.S. Air Force. He then went on to found the DeWolfe Companies in 1965. DeWolf was a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was a member of the board of directors of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Boston Economic Club. He was also a member of the board of trustees of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Ballet. DeWolf passed away on April 8, 2007 at the age of 78. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.

After leaving Teradyne in 1971, DeWolf moved to Aspen, Colorado, where in 1979, he teamed with artist Travis Fulton to create Aspen's "dancing fountain". DeWolf also designed a computer system without hard disks or fans; this system (the ON! computer) booted up in seconds, a much faster time than even the computers of today.

Nicholas DeWolf (July 12, 1928 – April 16, 2006) was co-founder of Teradyne, a Boston, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of automatic test equipment. He founded the company in 1960 with Alex d'Arbeloff, a classmate at MIT.
