He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the American University of Beirut in 1951 and his Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1954. Dajani has held various positions in the Palestinian National Authority, including Minister of Finance from 1994 to 1996. He has also served as a consultant to the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme, and the International Monetary Fund. Dajani is a member of the Palestinian National Council and the Palestinian Central Council. He is also a member of the Palestine Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction.
