Norma Sahlin is a former American figure skater who competed in the 1948 Winter Olympics. She was born on September 9, 1927 in Ionia, Michigan. She began skating at the age of five and was coached by her father, who was a former professional skater. Sahlin won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1947 and 1948. She also won the North American Figure Skating Championships in 1948. She placed fourth in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland. After retiring from competitive skating, Sahlin became a coach and choreographer. She coached at the Broadmoor Skating Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and choreographed for the Ice Capades. Sahlin was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1998. She is currently 78 years old and her net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
