Ottó Foky is a Hungarian animator and director who has worked in the animation industry for over 50 years. He is best known for his work on the animated feature film The Little Prince (1974). He has also directed several animated shorts, including The Cat and the Fox (1966) and The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon (1968). Foky was born in Sarhida, Hungary in 1927. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, where he graduated in 1952. After graduation, he worked as an animator at the Pannonia Film Studio in Budapest. In 1966, he directed his first animated short, The Cat and the Fox. Foky has won numerous awards for his work, including the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival for The Little Prince in 1974. He has also been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon in 1968. Foky is currently 85 years old.
