Ponsiano Ngabirano is a Ugandan businessman and entrepreneur. He is the founder and chairman of the Ponsiano Group, a conglomerate of companies that operate in the fields of agriculture, construction, real estate, and hospitality. He is also the founder and chairman of the Ponsiano Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of the people of Uganda. Ngabirano was born in 1955 in Uganda. He attended Makerere University, where he earned a degree in business administration. After graduating, he worked in the banking sector before founding the Ponsiano Group in 1988. Ngabirano is a philanthropist and has been involved in numerous charitable activities. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Uganda Red Cross Society and a patron of the Uganda Cancer Institute. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Uganda Investment Authority. Ngabirano is married and has four children. He is estimated to have a net worth of over $100 million.
