Rafael Greca is a Brazilian politician and lawyer who has served as the mayor of Curitiba since 2017. He was previously the mayor of Curitiba from 1989 to 1992. Greca is a member of the Brazilian Democratic Movement Party (PMDB). Greca was born in Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná, on 17 March 1956. He graduated from the Federal University of Paraná with a degree in law in 1979. He then went on to pursue a master's degree in public administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo. Greca began his political career in 1982, when he was elected to the city council of Curitiba. He was re-elected in 1986 and served until 1989, when he was elected mayor of Curitiba. He served as mayor until 1992. In 2017, Greca was elected mayor of Curitiba for a second time. He has since been re-elected in 2020. As of 2021, Greca is 64 years old.
