Ramón Acín was a Spanish teacher and writer. He was born on August 30, 1888 in Huesca, Spain. He studied at the University of Zaragoza and later at the University of Barcelona. He was a professor of Spanish literature at the University of Barcelona and the University of Zaragoza. He wrote several books, including "La España de los Siglos XVI y XVII" (1925), "La Literatura Española" (1927), and "La Literatura Española Contemporánea" (1930). He was also a member of the Royal Spanish Academy. Ramón Acín died on April 15, 1965 in Barcelona, Spain. He was 76 years old. His net worth is unknown.

The name of Ramón Acín was not in the credits on the copies shown in the 1930s. The government had forbidden it because he was an anarchist. In the 1960s Bunuel, after he had become famous, re-released it with Ramon Acin's name added and the profits were given to the 2 daughters of Acin.

1913

From 1913 on, Acín was engaged in the Spanish anarquist movement, particularly in Barcelona and his home region of Aragón. He wrote for several anarquist magazines in Aragón and Catalonia. Took part in several congresses of anarquist labour union CGT in Huesca. He was a non-violent anarquist, and very engaged in workers' education matter's; e. g. , he gave drawing lesson's to workers in evening school courses.
