Davis attended the University of Iowa, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing. She then went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Montana. Davis has written several novels, including "The Year of the Crow," "The House on the Hill," and "The Summer of the Crow." She has also written several children's books, including "The Magic of the Crow," "The Crow's Gift," and "The Crow's Song." Davis is also a lecturer and college instructor.
