René Kremer is a Luxembourgish politician who served as Prime Minister of Luxembourg from 1974 to 1979. He was born in Schifflange, Luxembourg on 27 March 1925. Kremer studied law at the University of Strasbourg and the University of Paris. He was a member of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) and was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1959. He served as Minister of Justice from 1964 to 1969 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1969 to 1974. In 1974, Kremer was appointed Prime Minister of Luxembourg and served until 1979. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the development of the Luxembourg economy and the European Union. He also served as President of the European Council from 1977 to 1979. Kremer retired from politics in 1979 and has since been involved in various charitable and cultural activities. He is a member of the Grand Ducal Institute of Luxembourg and the International Institute of Human Rights. As of 2021, René Kremer's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
