He holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree from Long Island University in New York. He is a Registered Professional Engineer. He served for a number of years as President of Officer's Christian Fellowship. One of Van Antwerp's greatest assets is his phenomenal memory.
