Robert W. Warren was born to parents Robert and Mary Warren. He attended Raton High School and graduated in 1943. He then attended the University of New Mexico, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1948. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. After his military service, he worked as an engineer for the Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 1952, he married his wife, Mary, and they had three children. In the 1960s, he began working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as an engineer. He worked on the Apollo program and was part of the team that designed the lunar module. He also worked on the Space Shuttle program. In the 1970s, he became the director of the Space Shuttle program. He was responsible for the design, development, and testing of the Space Shuttle. He also oversaw the first launch of the Space Shuttle in 1981. In the 1980s, he became the director of the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center. In the 1990s, he retired from NASA and became a consultant for the aerospace industry. Robert W.
