He is also the founder and chairman of the board of directors of the Czech-based investment company, Home Credit Group. Dragoun was born in Pisek, Czechia, on 8 April 1956. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in 1979 with a degree in economics. Dragoun began his career in the banking sector, working for the Czechoslovak State Bank and then for the Czech National Bank. In 1991, he founded the PPF Group, which is now one of the largest investment companies in Central and Eastern Europe. He also founded the Home Credit Group in 1997, which is now one of the largest consumer finance companies in the world. Dragoun is a member of the board of directors of the Czech-based investment company, PPF Group, and the chairman of the board of directors of the Czech-based investment company, Home Credit Group. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Czech-based investment company, Česká spořitelna. Dragoun is married and has two children. He is estimated to have a net worth of $2.5 billion.
