Roman Viktyuk is a renowned Russian theatre director, actor, and writer. He is best known for his work in the theatre, where he has directed over 100 productions. He has also written several plays and acted in a few films. Viktyuk was born in Lvov, Ukraine, in 1936. He studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School and graduated in 1959. After graduation, he worked as an actor at the Moscow Art Theatre and the Moscow Drama Theatre. In the 1970s, Viktyuk began directing plays. He has since directed over 100 productions, including works by Chekhov, Gogol, Ostrovsky, and Shakespeare. He has also written several plays, including "The Last Summer" and "The Last Night". Viktyuk has also acted in a few films, including "The Irony of Fate" and "The Irony of Fate 2". He has won numerous awards for his work, including the State Prize of the Russian Federation and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. Viktyuk is currently the artistic director of the Roman Viktyuk Theatre in Moscow. He is also the president of the Russian Theatre Union.
