Scott Baio is an American actor, director, and television producer. He is best known for his roles as Chachi Arcola on the sitcom Happy Days and its spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi, and as the title character on the sitcom Charles in Charge. He has also appeared in films such as Bugsy Malone, Foxes, Zapped!, and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2.
Baio was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Italian-American parents Rose and Mario Baio. He began his career as a child actor, making his television debut in 1976 on the sitcom Apple's Way. He went on to appear in a number of television series, including Happy Days, Joanie Loves Chachi, Charles in Charge, and Diagnosis: Murder.
Baio has also appeared in a number of films, including Bugsy Malone, Foxes, Zapped!, and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2. He has also directed and produced a number of television series, including Scott Baio Is 45…and Single, Scott Baio Is 46…and Pregnant, and See Dad Run.
