Ogbuoji is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1979. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980. He also holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Lagos. Ogbuoji has held several positions in the Nigerian government, including serving as a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003. He was also a member of the Nigerian Senate from 2003 to 2007. Ogbuoji is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. He is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Ogbuoji is married and has four children. His net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
