Timeline
On 19 August 2018, Al-Jassim was loaned to fellow Pro League Al-Wehda until the end of the 2018–19 season.
On 19 December 2017, he announced his intentions to retire after the end of the 2018 World Cup. In May 2018 he was named in Saudi Arabia’s preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He made 2 appearances in the World Cup before his tournament ended prematurely due to injury.
Al-Jassim scored to Iraq and his Saudi Arabia National Team won 2–1, and he helped them qualify for the Asian Cup in 2015.
Al-Jassim scored a goal against the Syria national football team in the 2011 Asian Cup, with Saudi Arabia losing 1–2. Saudi Arabia did not collect any points, so went out in the group stage.
In the Emir Cup 2009, Taiseer scored a goal to Al-Rayyan and they were knockout by penalty kicks 3–3 (4–2) before returning to Al-Ahli at the end of the tournament.
He also participated in the 2009 Gulf Cup of Nations for the Saudi Arabia national football team, who reached the final against the Oman national football team. However, Al-Jassam's shot was wide of the post in the penalty shoot-out, the match ending 0–0, ultimately giving Oman the trophy by winning the penalties 6–5.
Taiseer Al-Jassim helped Al-Ahli win the Saudi Federation Cup and the Saudi Crown Prince Cup in 2007 after scoring a goal in the final match with Ittihad FC club. He also won with his team the Gulf Cup for clubs in front of Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia 2008. He was instrumental also in his involvement in leading Al-Ahli to the Final game AFC Champions League 2012; he also led Al-Ahli to win the King Cup of Champions in 2011 and 2012.
He was loaned to Al-Gharafa in 2007. He made a quick impact with the Qatar Stars League runners-up as he scored a goal and created another in the Emir Cup before returning to Al-Ahli.
He participated with the Saudi team in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup as a key player in the feet and the level of the tournament, where he scored two goals against the Bahrain national football team. He was in the youth team in the tournament, which reached the final before the Iraq national football team and was one of four players with Malek Mouath, Yasser Al-Qahtani and Abdulrahman Al-Qahtani.
Since his debut in 2006, Taiseer has been a regular on the squads of both his club team and the national team.
Taiseer Jaber Al-Jassam (Arabic: تيسير جابر الجاسم , born 25 July 1984) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Kuwaiti club Al Naser. Al-Jassim was the former captain of Al-Ahli and the vice-captain of the Saudi Arabian national team. He retired from the Saudi Arabian national team in 2018.
