She is best known for her roles in the films The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988), The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996), and The Pianist (2002). Born on October 4, 1955, in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Tania Janco is the daughter of a Czech father and a Slovak mother. She studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and graduated in 1979. Janco made her film debut in the Czechoslovakian film The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988). She then went on to appear in the American films The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) and The Pianist (2002). She has also appeared in numerous television shows, including Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The West Wing, and The Good Wife. Janco has been married twice.
