Tom Olstad is a Norwegian musician and composer. He was born on April 13, 1953 in Oslo, Norway. He is best known for his work with the Norwegian jazz-rock band, The Source. Olstad began his musical career in the early 1970s, playing in various jazz and rock bands. In 1975, he joined The Source, a Norwegian jazz-rock band, and became their lead guitarist. He remained with the band until its dissolution in 1982. In the 1980s, Olstad began to focus on composing and producing music for film and television. He has composed music for numerous films, television shows, and commercials. He has also released several solo albums, including "The Source" (1982), "The Source II" (1984), and "The Source III" (1986). Olstad has won several awards for his work, including the Norwegian Grammy Award for Best Jazz Album in 1984. He is currently living in Oslo, Norway.
