He has also directed several television series, including the popular Swedish crime series Beck. Anderberg was born in Västra Vram, Skåne län, Sweden on 25 February 1919. He studied at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm and began his career as an actor in the 1940s. He made his directorial debut in the 1960s with the film The Emigrants, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Anderberg has since directed several other films, including The New Land, The Ox, and The Brothers Lionheart. He has also directed several television series, including the popular Swedish crime series Beck. Anderberg has been married twice and has two children.
