Torin Koos is an American cross-country skier who has competed since 1998. He was born on 19 July, 1980 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. He is the son of former cross-country skier and coach, John Koos. Koos has competed in four Winter Olympics, earning his best finish of fourth in the 4 x 10 km relay at Vancouver in 2010. He also won a bronze medal in the 4 x 10 km relay at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec. Koos has won two individual career victories in World Cup events, both in the sprint events. His best overall finish in the World Cup is fourth in the sprint in 2008-09. Koos is married to fellow cross-country skier, Caitlin Compton, and they have two children. He is currently a coach for the U.S. Ski Team.
