He played for Surrey from 1948 to 1954 and for Worcestershire from 1955 to 1957. He made his first-class debut for Surrey against Glamorgan in 1948. He scored his maiden first-class century against Hampshire in 1951. He scored 1,845 runs in his first-class career at an average of 22.90. He also took 44 wickets at an average of 33.86. Trevor Grant (cricketer) passed away on 28 April, 2007 at the age of 80.

In Sussex's first-innings, he was dismissed for a duck by Lofty Herman. In their second-innings, he was dismissed for 6 runs by the same bowler. This was his only major appearance for Sussex.
