Udo Kiessling is a retired German ice hockey player who was born on 21 May, 1955 in Crimmitschau, Germany. He played for the German national team at the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1978 World Championships. He also played for the Crimmitschau Red Devils in the German Ice Hockey League. Kiessling began his career in 1972 with the Crimmitschau Red Devils and played for them until his retirement in 1984. During his time with the Red Devils, he won the German Ice Hockey League championship in 1976 and 1978. He also won the German Cup in 1977 and 1979. Kiessling was a member of the German national team at the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1978 World Championships. He also represented Germany at the 1979 World Cup. Kiessling retired from professional hockey in 1984 and has since worked as a coach and scout for the Crimmitschau Red Devils. He was inducted into the German Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008.
