Vera Krichevskaya

In 2010, Krichevskaya worked as the author and producer of the Constitution on the Rain. From June 2011 to January 2013, she worked as a creative producer of the documentary TV channel 24 Doc.

In 2008, together with Natalya Sindeeva she launched the Dozhd TV channel and worked as a creative producer and chief director until 2011.

From 2005 to 2008, she worked in Ukraine in Viktor Pinchuk's Starlight Media, and launched The Freedom of Speech with Savik Shuster on the ICTV channel.

In 2003, she was the producer and chief director of the evening news program, Country and the World with Alexey Pivovarov, Aset Vatsueva, Anton Khrekov and Yulia Bordovskikh, in the same year she left the NTV.

During the 2003 Russian legislative election campaign, she was invited by Oleg Dobrodev, the head of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company where she worked as the producer of television coverage of the campaign.

During the NTV Capture, she continued to work on the channel with the team of Boris Jordan and Rafael Akopov. From 2001 to 2003, she was the director of The Freedom of Speech program with Savik Shuster and the youth music program Pepsi Chart, and the producer of the program Hero of the Day.

From 2000 to 2001, she was the director of the NTV program Ships Came Into our Harbor.

Krichevskaya has received several awards for her work including, the TEFI for the years 2000, 2004 and 2005, Golden Ray - National award in the field of satellite, cable, and Internet television (2010), Golden Pen of Russia (2011), Golden Ray (2012), Glamor magazine director of the year (2018), and the National Non-Fiction Film Award for Best TV Movie F@ck This Job (2021).

In 1999, she was the director and producer of the NTV program, Favorite Melodies of the 20th Century. From 1999 to 2001, she was the director and producer of the NTV program, Anthropology with Dmitry Dibrov.

In 1997, she joined NTV Channel, where she worked as a director and producer of various projects. From 1997 to 1999, she was the producer and chief director of the news television program, Today. From December 1997 to September 1998, she was the producer of the TV channel's anti-drug campaign (a series of social advertising spots "No Drugs"). In December 1997, she was the second director of New Year's Eve at the Opera. In 1998, producer and director of the program Twilight and the documentary film-interview Rolling Stones especially for NTV, then producer and director of Ask Livshits.

In 1995, she became the director of the Art Pictures Petersburg company, working on the programs Pesnya goda, broadcast on Channel One Russia and Hot Ten, broadcast on the Russian television channel, Russia-1. From 1996 to 1997, she was director of the musical program Morning Mail broadcast on ORT.

Krichevskaya started working in television in 1992. She worked at 5TV, the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. She also worked as an author and editor of the weekly musical supplement of the youth program, Zebra and the documentary film, Silver Ida about the Soviet Soviet writer and photographer Ida Nappelbaum.

Krichevskaya was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She went to the gymnasium at the State Russian Museum (Russian Gymnasium at the State Russian Museum [ru]). During her studies, she was a correspondent for the youth newspaper, Change from 1990 to 1993. She attended the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography which she graduated from in 1996 with a degree as a theater critic and editor-screenwriter for TV. She also received a diploma in feature film direction.

Vera Krichevskaya (born November 10, 1974) is a Russian journalist, screenwriter, television director and producer. She is the co-founder of TV Rain (Dozhd), Russia's only surviving independent TV station. Krichevskaya has been a recipient of TEFI awards three times (2000, 2004, 2005) for her programs.
