Victor Sillon is a French vaulter who was born on 24 December, 1927 in France. He is best known for his achievements in the sport of pole vaulting, having won the gold medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. Sillon began his career as a vaulter in 1947, and quickly rose to prominence in the sport. He won the French National Championship in 1949, and went on to win the gold medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He also won the bronze medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. Sillon retired from competitive pole vaulting in 1960, and has since become a coach and mentor to many of the world's top vaulters. He is also a member of the International Association of Athletics Federations Hall of Fame. As of 2021, Victor Sillon's net worth is estimated to be roughly $1 million.
