1971

In 1971, while doing theater work in San Francisco living on Gary Street, Vince had read the book called "The Godfather". The next day he packed up his one and only suitcase and headed for Los Angeles. The very first person he met was his first agent, William Condit on Sunset Blvd. Vince's Professor, Mr. Turner at the School of Performing Arts in San Diego, had suggested this agent to him should Vince go to Hollywood. Vince and every other actor wanted to be in The Godfather movie. After being interviewed by Producer, Fred Roose, Vince waited anxiously... but never did get that phone call. As fate would have it, Vince's very first gig turned out to be the Julie Andrews Show on ABC. His role was the son of The God-papa in the comedy skit- played by the late and great Sid Caesar. In the scene were also actors, Lenny Montana -who played Luca Brazi in the actual Godfather movie,- Julie Andrews and impersonator Rich Little. This was 1972. Vince ultimately did fulfill his dream. Close enough anyway.
