He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Korolyuk is best known for his work in the field of functional analysis, in particular, for his contributions to the theory of linear operators and the theory of Banach spaces. He has also made significant contributions to the theory of approximation of functions, the theory of integral equations, and the theory of differential equations. Korolyuk is the author of more than 200 scientific works, including several monographs. He has been awarded numerous honors and awards, including the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and the Order of Merit of Ukraine. Korolyuk is 95 years old. He is married and has two children. He is currently living in Kiev, Ukraine.
