Wallace Diestelmeyer is a Canadian figure skater who has competed in both singles and pairs. He is a two-time Canadian national champion in pairs and a three-time Canadian national champion in singles. He also competed in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where he placed sixth in the men's singles event. Diestelmeyer was born in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, on July 14, 1926. He began skating at the age of five and was coached by his father, who was a former competitive skater. He began competing in singles in 1941 and won his first Canadian national title in 1945. He then began competing in pairs with his sister, Marjorie, and they won the Canadian national title in 1947 and 1948. Diestelmeyer and his sister competed in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where they placed sixth in the pairs event. He also competed in the men's singles event, where he placed sixth. After the Olympics, Diestelmeyer retired from competitive skating and began coaching. He coached several Canadian national champions, including Barbara Wagner and Robert Paul, who won the gold medal in pairs at the 1960 Winter Olympics. Diestelmeyer is now retired and lives in Kitchener, Ontario. He is 73 years old.

Wallace William "Wally" Diestelmeyer (July 14, 1926 – December 23, 1999) was a Canadian figure skater. He competed in pair skating with Suzanne Morrow. The couple won the bronze medal at the 1948 Winter Olympics and the 1948 World Figure Skating Championships. They are credited as being the first pair to perform the death spiral one-handed, with the man holding the woman in position with one hand, at the 1948 Olympic Games.
