He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and graduated in 2000. He made his television debut in 2001 in the BBC medical drama Casualty. He then went on to appear in the BBC soap opera EastEnders in 2002. In 2004, he joined the cast of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, playing the role of Chris Tate. He left the show in 2006. In 2007, he appeared in the BBC drama series Torchwood. He also appeared in the BBC drama series The Street in 2009. In 2010, he appeared in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road.
