Wilson Benge was an English actor who was active in the theatre and film industry from the late 19th century until his death in 1945. He was born in Greenwich, London, England, UK on 1 March 1875. Benge began his career in the theatre, appearing in a number of productions in the West End of London. He made his film debut in 1912, appearing in the silent film The House of Temperley. He went on to appear in over 50 films, including The Lodger (1927), The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934), and The 39 Steps (1935). Benge was married to actress Mary Brough, with whom he had two children. He died on 28 April 1945 in London, England, UK. At the time of his death, Benge had an estimated net worth of $1 million.
