Wolfram Ristau is a German diver who was born on 26 October, 1953. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a bronze medal in the men's 10m platform event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, and a silver medal in the men's 10m platform event at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Ristau began his diving career in 1969, and competed in his first international competition in 1972. He won his first international medal in 1974, a bronze medal in the men's 10m platform event at the European Championships. He went on to win numerous medals at the European Championships, World Championships, and the Olympics. Ristau retired from competitive diving in 1984, and has since become a coach and mentor to young divers. He is currently the head coach of the German diving team. Ristau is married and has two children. He currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
