Yuriy Tomoshevskiy is a Russian actor and director. He is best known for his roles in the films "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!", "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed", and "The Barber of Siberia". He has also appeared in numerous television series, including "The White Sun of the Desert", "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson", and "The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin". Tomoshevskiy was born in Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Krai, USSR. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School in 1979. He has been a member of the Moscow Art Theatre since 1981. Tomoshevskiy has appeared in over 50 films and television series. He has also directed several films, including "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed" and "The Barber of Siberia". Tomoshevskiy has won numerous awards, including the Nika Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed" and the Golden Eagle Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "The Barber of Siberia". Tomoshevskiy is married to actress Natalya Kolyakanova and they have two children.
