Andrea Vissers is a Dutch rower who was born on 29 February, 1952 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won gold in the women's coxless fours at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. She also won a bronze medal in the women's coxless pairs at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Vissers began rowing in 1971 and was a member of the Dutch national team from 1979 to 1992. She was a member of the Dutch rowing team that won the world championship in the women's coxless fours in 1982 and 1983. Vissers is married to Dutch rower Jan van der Meer and has two children. She currently works as a rowing coach and is a member of the Dutch Olympic Committee.
