She is best known for her work on the films "The Price of Love" (1995), "The Price of Life" (1997), and "The Price of Freedom" (1999). Antoniou studied film directing at the Stavrakos Film School in Athens. She has directed several feature films, documentaries, and television series. Her films have been screened at numerous international film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Venice Film Festival. Antoniou has won several awards for her work, including the Best Director Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival for her film "The Price of Love" (1995). She has also been nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film for her film "The Price of Life" (1997). Antoniou is currently married to Greek actor and director Yannis Smaragdis. She has two children, a son and a daughter.
