Anne Gust Brown is an American business executive and the wife of former California Governor Jerry Brown. She is the former executive vice president of Gap Inc. and was the chief administrative officer of the company from 2002 to 2005. She is currently the chair of the California Board of Equalization. Anne Gust Brown was born on March 15, 1958 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1980 with a degree in political science. She then attended the University of Michigan Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1983.
