Antonio Valdés González-Roldán is a Spanish politician who served as the Minister of Education and Science from 1982 to 1986. He was born on 23 May 1926 in Madrid, Kingdom of Spain. He studied law at the Complutense University of Madrid and obtained a doctorate in law in 1951. He began his political career in the 1950s, when he was elected to the Madrid City Council. He was later elected to the Spanish Parliament in 1977, and was appointed Minister of Education and Science in 1982. He held this position until 1986. In addition to his political career, Valdés González-Roldán has also been involved in academia. He was a professor of constitutional law at the Complutense University of Madrid from 1956 to 1982. He has also served as a visiting professor at various universities in the United States, including Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley.
