Arthur Ashley was an American actor, director, and writer. He was born in New York City on October 6, 1886. He began his career in vaudeville and burlesque, and later moved to Broadway. He appeared in several Broadway productions, including "The Passing Show of 1914" and "The Ziegfeld Follies of 1915". He also wrote and directed several plays, including "The Great Divide" and "The Great Adventure". In the 1920s, Ashley moved to Hollywood and began appearing in films. He appeared in over 50 films, including "The Cat and the Canary" (1927), "The Big House" (1930), and "The Invisible Man" (1933). He also wrote and directed several films, including "The Great Divide" (1930) and "The Great Adventure" (1932). Arthur Ashley died on April 15, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. He was 58 years old.
