He was born in Casal di Pari, Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy on 28 August 1917. Galleppini began his career in comics in the 1930s, working for the publishing house Edizioni Araldo. He worked on the comic strip "Tex Willer" from 1948 to 1966, and was the main artist for the series. He also worked on other comic strips, such as "Kriminal" and "Satanik". In the 1960s, Galleppini began working in animation, working on the animated series "La Freccia Azzurra" and "La Freccia Nera". He also worked on the animated feature film "La Freccia Nera" in 1966.
