Azlan Man is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Arau since 2008. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and is currently the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries. Born on 2 September 1958 in Arau, Azlan Man is the son of Man bin Haji Ahmad and Hajah Zainab binti Haji Omar. He received his early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Padang Besar and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Besar. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Malaya. Azlan Man began his political career in 1982 when he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Arau. He has since held various positions in the government, including Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, and Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities. Azlan Man is married to Datin Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Mohd Yusof and they have four children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing badminton and tennis.
