Santana began his career as a singer in the early 2000s, releasing his debut album, Babu Santana, in 2003. He has since released two more albums, Babu Santana 2 (2005) and Babu Santana 3 (2008). In addition to his acting and singing career, Santana is also a successful entrepreneur. He owns a production company, Babu Santana Produções, and a clothing line, Babu Santana Clothing. He is also a partner in the restaurant chain, Babu Santana Restaurante. Santana has been married to actress and singer, Thalita Carauta, since 2011. The couple have two children together.
