Besha Tuffa is a retired Ethiopian sprinter who competed in the 400m and 800m events. He was born on 9 October 1953 in Ethiopia. He is best known for winning the gold medal in the 800m event at the 1978 All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria. Tuffa began his career in athletics in the early 1970s, competing in the 400m and 800m events. He won the 800m event at the 1974 African Championships in Athletics in Lagos, Nigeria. He also won the 800m event at the 1975 African Championships in Athletics in Nairobi, Kenya. In 1978, Tuffa won the gold medal in the 800m event at the All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria. He also won the silver medal in the 400m event at the same competition. Tuffa retired from athletics in the early 1980s. He currently lives in Ethiopia. His current age is 67.
