Bev Glover was a professional footballer who played for Salford City, Manchester City, and Oldham Athletic. He was born in Salford, England, on 25 March 1926. Glover began his career with Salford City in 1945, and made his debut for Manchester City in 1947. He went on to make over 200 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals. He also played for Oldham Athletic, before retiring in 1959. Glover was known for his strong tackling and accurate passing. He was also a versatile player, able to play in both midfield and defence. Glover was a member of the Manchester City team that won the FA Cup in 1956. He also won the Second Division title with the club in 1955. Glover passed away in 2020, at the age of 97.
